NEBOSH - HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation

Created in 2019, the HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation course is a training course accredited by the awarding body NEBOSH. This course has been jointly development by NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

This one-day course has been created for employees who wish to hold a recognised qualification in incident and accident investigations.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, it would benefit the candidate to have an understanding of health and safety issues.

NEBOSH Course Content

This course will cover the following topics:

  • Financial, moral and legal obligations for investigation
  • The investigation process
  • Investigating small incidents independently and how to contribute to larger team investigations
  • Positive interview techniques and witness testimonies
  • Action plans for preventing reoccurring accidents

Course Delivery

Candidates will be required to complete an hour-long practical assessment, which includes producing an action plan for an accident scenario.
