PASMA Training Courses: This category includes PASMA Training Courses for mobile access tower scaffolding. The Prefabricated Access Supplier and Manufacturers Association (PASMA) comprises the major manufacturers of alloy access towers in the UK. PASMA promotes the safe use of alloy access towers and the interests of its members to the regulatory and standards authorities The PASMA Standard Training Scheme was established to ensure a uniformly high level of PASMA training throughout the UK.

The PASMA Training Course is a one day course, and is designed for anyone who needs to use and inspect prefabricated access towers in the workplace. Course delivery is throughout the UK, either as open courses or as dedicated courses on customers’ own sites.

The objective of the course is to provide candidates with the necessary information and procedures for safely erecting, using, inspecting and dismantling mobile access towers.

Course content includes:
- An overview of the related legislation and regulations, including the Work At Height Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
- An understanding of the relevant British and European standards.
- Identification of safe working heights and understanding safe working loads.
- Codes of practice and manufacturers instruction manuals.
- Ground and site conditions, tower stability and tying.
- The sequence of erecting and dismantling mobile access towers.
- Inspection requirements and records.
- Theory and practical tests and assessments.
 
Delegates will be required to bring and wear their own PPE as directed by the Training Provider and will also need reading ability in English when referencing manufacturers’ instruction manuals.

Delegates successfully completing PASMA training courses will be issued with a card and certificate, which has a 5 year validity period.
