IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors

The IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors course is for people with strategic responsibility for determining effective health and safety management and putting it into practice in their organisation.

The course aims to give directors and company owners an understanding of the moral, legal and business case for proactive health and safety management, and to give guidance on effective risk management.

This IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors course is a one day course and covers:

- Planning health and safety
- Delivering health and safety
- Monitoring health and safety
- Reviewing health and safety

Delivery

This course is delivered through a practical programme of engaging methods consisting of:

- PowerPoint presentation
- Delegate workbook with sections for notes and Q&A sessions
- Case studies
- Group exercises
- Group discussions

Certification

To successfully complete the course and gain an IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors certificate delegates must complete a 15 minute written assessment consisting of 10 multi-choice questions and take part in an interactive group exercise to assess the their learning and knowledge.
