OHSAS 18001
OHSAS 18001: 2007 is now an internationally recognized assessment specification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. OHSAS stands for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment series, and OHSAS 18001 is complimented by the OHSAS 18002 guidance document.

OHSAS 18001 is used a model for health and safety management to help organisations:
• Formulate a meaningful health and safety policy
• Establish an organisational framework for health and safety management
• Identify and comply with legislation
• Identify hazards and assess risks
• Reduce health and safety risks.
• Reduce accidents and ill health.
• Continually improve health and safety performance.

OHSAS 18001 has much in common with other management system specifications such as the ISO 9001 standard for Quality Management and IS0 14001 for Environmental Management. Courses under this category include awareness and auditing courses related to the OHSAS 18001.
