ISO 14001
ISO 14001: 2004 is the internationally recognised standard for establishing an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The standard requires an organisation to set a meaningful environmental policy, with a commitment to comply with legislation, prevent pollution, and continually improve its environmental performance. The internal benefit to organisations is that improved environmental performance normally goes hand in hand with improved profitability.

ISO 14001 requires that companies identify the environmental aspects that are related to their operations, for example, emissions, wastes, etc. They then need to carry out an impact analysis on those aspects that have been identified, before setting environmental objectives and putting improvement programmes in place. IS0 14001 has much in common with other management system specifications such the ISO 9001 standard for Quality Management and OHSAS 18001 for Health and Safety Management.

Training courses under this category include awareness and auditing courses related to the ISO 14001 standard.
