ISO 27001 & IT Governance
Information management for many companies is essential to their business operations or in an extreme case their very survival. ISO 27001:2005 is an international standard that organisations can adopt to manage their information security. The standard specifies a process orientated approach for, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Increasingly customers now view ISO 27001 registration of their suppliers IT systems as a pre-requisite for doing business with them. ISO 27001 certification by a third party assessment body endorses the security of their IT systems.
