Process Improvement and Lean
“Lean” principles have emerged from the Toyota Production System (TPS) approach, but the routes of Lean go back much further. Lean is a business approach for organising and managing product development, operations, suppliers, and customer relations.

The expression Lean arises because organizations become more efficient if they use less of everything: less space, less stocks, less, capital, less people and less time. In a wide range of industries and organizations, leaders apply the principles of lean to help produce goods and deliver services that create value for the customer with the minimum waste and the maximum degree of quality.
