Suitable for:

Existing Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme certificate holders

Aims and Objectives:

Developing existing skills and knowledge, participants will:-

- Understand and know how to implement new guidance and best practice

- Be aware of and understand the current focus of HSE's attention

Course Content:

- Overview of changes to the current legislation affecting construction

- The Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant regulations, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes

- Tool box talks

- Risk assessments relating to construction site issues:-

1. Working at Height

2. Demolition

3. Noise

4. Occupational Health

5. Fire

6. Electricity

7. Confined Spaces

- Control of subcontractors

- Health issues

- Construction accidents

Exam: Multiple-choice assessment paper and tutor evaluation

Certification: Valid for 5 years

Additional information:
Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
