The CITB Site Safety Supervisor (Refresher) Training Scheme (SSSTS Refresher) health and safety course is designed for delegates who have previously passed the two day Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme course within the last five years and can provide proof of successful attendance.

The qualification aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.

Ratio: 20 x Trainees (Max) - 1 Instructor

Duration: 8 hrs contact time. (1 Day)

Location: In House or at our training centres nationally.

Aim

The SSSTS Refresher course aims to raise awareness of current trends within the Health and Safety Executives direction of enforcement. Improve awareness of recent development in construction, legislation, health and safety, waste, environmental issues and measures that support the implementation of responsibilities under new legislation.
 
Prerequisites

Attendance on the 2 day SSSTS course within a 5 year period. 
Course Outline 

The SSSTS Refresher training will teach individuals:

- To be aware of their responsibilities under health and safety welfare and environmental issues.
- To be able to implement all relevant legislation which effects them as a supervisor.
- To be more aware of their duties and responsibilities to manage their daily activities. 

Instructors

Courses are carried out by our fully trained HSE/CITB accredited instructors and the
training will be of a high quality standard throughout. All instructors possess the
NEBOSH Construction Certificate as minimum. 

Location of Training

Training can be delivered In-House or at our training facilities nationwide. Training
delivered on site will be more advantageous to the trainees as the training can be
specific to their workplace activities and costs to the client are significantly reduced. 

Equipment

Past Certificate/Pen/Pencil/Notepad, all other training equipment is provided. 

Assessment

 
A multi choice assessment (25 Questions) is conducted at the end of the training.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a CITB accredited certificate which is valid for five years. 

Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
