Course Summary

This course is for first line managers – those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities. It provides an introduction to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will provide a sound knowledge base to enable them to give valuable assistance in safely managing a construction site. This course is intended to give site supervisors a clear understanding of how health and safety affects their role and the practical steps they can take to ensure a safe site.

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

Course Information

The qualification covers the following topics:

- Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant regulations
- Specific site issues, which include such topics as work at height
- Tool box talks
- Control of subcontractors
- Health issues course

Additional information:
Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
