SSSTS (CITB) - Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme

Who Should Attend: 

This course is designed for anyone who works as a Supervisor in the construction industry, or is considering aspiring to such a role in the future.

Course Contents: 

On completion of this course candidates will have an excellent understanding of how health and safety law is structured and how it applies to supervisors. They will be given training to help them understand the problems of the industry and understand the importance of timely intervention when bad practice is identified.

Candidates will also receive training on how to successfully carry out risk assessments and understand the need for method statements and also be briefed to carry out effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. Topics covered include;

• The Health and Safety at Work Act
• Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
• Effective toolbox talks
• Supervision of occupational health
• Behavioural safety

Certification: 

This course is accredited as part of CITB Safety Training Scheme, Site Safety Plus range of courses. Upon successful completion, delegates will achieve a SSSTS (CITB) certificate which is valid for 5 years.
