Course Overview

This course is designed to give delegates an overview of their responsibilities for health and safety on construction sites. It provides the ideal introduction for those supervisors who have had some or little previous health and safety training. The training is intended to give site supervisors a clear understanding of how health and safety affects their role and the practical steps they can take to ensure a safe site.

Course Content and Duration

On completion of this course candidates will have an excellent understanding of how health and safety law is structured and how it applies to supervisors. They will be given training to help them understand the problems of the industry and understand the importance of timely intervention when bad practice is identified.

Assessment & Award

Delegates are required to attend both days, since without full attendance and achievement in the examination the Construction Site Supervisors’ Safety Certificate cannot be made.

Certificates are valid for 5 years.

Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
