Introduction

This course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed to become a confident first aider at work, giving you both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

Duration: 3 Days

Who should attend?

This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training and is especially suited for nominated workplace first aiders looking to gain comprehensive, accredited training.

Course Content

The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:

- Accidents and illness
- Using a first aid kit
- Simple record keeping
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Heart attacks
- Resuscitation
- Shock
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Fractures
- Seizures
- Asthma
- Severe allergic reaction
- Eye injuries
- Low blood sugar

- Fainting

Training Method

This course is highly participative with both theory and practical elements in groups and as
individuals.

The course is assessed by both a written and practical test at the end of the course.

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the course will receive Qualsafe Accredted First Aid at Work Level 3 certificate valid for 3 years; after which candidates can undertake the 2 day First Aid at Work Refresher course

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
