Course Overview
This single unit can be carried out at Stoneleigh Park or we can come to you as long as you have a
suitable location, that is a real road with unpredictable traffic & pedestrians.
Course Content
Delegates must be able to:
• Provide detailed plan for an intended site, preferably form a real road, showing all distances
& dimensions in accordance with the Safety at Street works & Road Works Code of Practice
• Make formative decisions & recommended remedial action from a given plan
• Observe an operative surveying a work site & record observations and remedial actions
required from the site plan
• Observe an operative setting up and taking down a site
• Record observations make and explain reasons for agreeing or disagreeing with site
operations and working practices
• Explain any remedial action required
• Complete question paper
Course Agenda
The City & Guilds NRSWA (6157-01) Course will cover the following topics: -
• 010 – Monitoring Signing, Lighting and Guarding
Certificates
Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessment, the results will be
submitted to the awarding body and certification will be issued to the delegate in due course.
Pre-Requisites
Some level of experience within the construction / civil engineering sectors is a pre-requisite
for acceptance on to this roads and street works course. If you are unsure whether your
