Course Overview
The NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding Course - Unit 10 (S1) - Supervisors is a comprehensive training program designed to provide supervisors with the knowledge and skills required to effectively oversee street works and road works operations in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
The course covers a wide range of topics, including the legal requirements for street works and road works, the principles of signing, lighting, and guarding, and the role of the supervisor in managing and coordinating these activities.
Participants will learn how to plan and prepare for street works and road works, including identifying and assessing the risks associated with the work, and implementing appropriate control measures to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
The course also covers the use of traffic management systems and equipment, including temporary traffic lights and stop/go boards, and the principles of traffic management and control.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the NRSWA and its requirements for signing, lighting, and guarding, and will be able to effectively plan and oversee street works and road works operations in compliance with these requirements.
