Overview

The aim of the Vehicle Marshal course is to provide candidates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work effectively and safely when required to work as a Vehicle Marshal to the NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) standard.

Content

Course content enables candidates to gain skills and knowledge of:

• Roles and responsibilities as a Vehicle Marshal
• Hazards, health and safety and current legislation
• A good understanding of signs and signals and different forms of communication
• Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for Vehicle / Plant Machinery Marshal
• Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area including stop blocks and tipping areas
• Set up exclusion zone for unloading
• Guiding machinery in a forward and reverse direction including confined spaces and “blind spots” competently and safely.
• Carry out all end of shift and shut down and parking procedures

Assessment

NPORS Assessment is carried out in the form of both practical and theory tests.

Taught by experts with extensive experience in this field, our courses are designed to be enjoyable whilst ensuring that candidates acquire the knowledge and skills required in order to pass the NPORS assessment. Candidates will be issued with a NPORS operator’s card upon successful completion of the NPORS assessment.
