This course is designed for Managers and Supervisors and safety advisors in all types of organisations. This excellent nationally recognised qualification in safety and health will equip delegates with the skill and knowledge to manage efficiently and effectively the activities of their workplace without endangering the workforce, other people or the physical assets of the organisation.

The Programme includes:
- The principles of good safety management
- Risk Assessment Procedures and Practice
- Why incidents involving injury or damage occur/Accident Prevention
- Accident investigations and safety inspection. Best Practice.
- How to apply management principles to safety and health performance
- Proactive /Reactive Safety Management Systems
- The behavioural factors affecting safety and health performance
- The legal framework for safety and health at work
- The communication skills necessary in relation to safety and health
- The nature of commonly encountered hazards
- The control requirements for specialised hazards

Assessment
This course will conclude with two assessments
- A 45-minute closed book assessment of 20 questions.
- A practical assessment consisting of a workplace project related to the delegates own workplace.

Certification
On successful completion of this course and practical project a certificate will be awarded by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
