Our First Aid at Work course is a fun, action packed 3 days with lots of practical scenarios to ensure you feel confident and happy to deal with any First Aid emergency. The highly experienced emergency service trainer will use their own real life experiences to aid your learning for First Aid emergencies. As well as learning how to save lives with CPR training you'll also learn how to deal with a range of injuries and illnesses, alongside techniques to manage individuals and groups during an emergency situation.

Aim:
To understand the role of a first aider and enable learners to gain the knowledge and set of practical skills needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations in a safe, prompt, educated manner.
Who is it for?
This course is designed for people who want to become approved first aiders in the workplace. First Aid at Work is our most comprehensive first aid training course. The Qualsafe level 3 award (QCF) complies with the HSE 1981 first aid at work legislation.

- Role of a first aider - Priorities of First Aid - Injuries to Bones, Muscles & Joints - Managing an Incident - Recognition of Minor Illnesses - Responsibilities of Employers & Employees - Causes and care of the unconscious casualty - Manage the Transportation of a Casualty - Infection Control - Disorders of the Airway - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Asthma - Diabetes - Heart Attack / Angina - Anaphylaxis - Head injuries - Chest Injuries - Burns & Scalds - Wounds, Bleeding & Shock - Recognition and management of major illnesses - Eye Injuries, Poisoning & Miscellaneous Injuries - Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
Assessment and Qualification:
All our trainers are current serving Fire Fighters with teaching qualifications and plenty of real life first aid experiences.
Our expert first aid trainers will assess students whilst the course is in progressing. This assessment will be through observation along with some straightforward written exercises.
All students are awarded a recognised First Aid Certificate* which is valid for 3 years. You will also receive a first aid manual and pocket card.
*The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) has been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ofqual, Welsh Government and CCEA) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
