First Aid at Work - 3 Day Full Qualification Course

Course Times: 09:00-16:30*

Description:

This course is designed to provide practical skills needed by a first aider in the workplace to give them confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

Candidates must be 13 years of age or older and physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course content.

Aims:

By the end of the course, candidates will have the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies and be qualified to perform the duties of the nominated ‘First Aider’.

Course Content:

First Aid at Work covers the following areas:

- Accident and illness
- Using a first aid kit
- Simple record keeping
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Heart attacks
- Resuscitation
- Shock
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Fractures
- Seizures
- Asthma
- Severe allergic reaction
- Eye injuries
- Low blood sugar
- Fainting

Certification

Upon successful completion, the candidate will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years.
