Who Attends

Anyone in any workplace that may be required to carry out basic first aid in an emergency.

Course Content

Day One:

- Understand the role of the first aider
- Manage and record an incident
- Incident assessment
- Casualty assessment
- Management of a casualty
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- First aid to a casualty that is choking
- First aid to a casualty that is bleeding and wounded
- First aid to a casualty that is suffering from shock
- Use of an AED

Training & Assessment Methods

- Multiple choice question paper/written assessment
- Practical assessments

Pre-requisites and additional information

- No prerequisites are required for this course.

- Certificates last for 3 years although it is recommended that refresher training is received each year.

Course Times

8.00am - 4.00pm. Course times will be confirmed in the joining instructions once the course has been booked.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
