Overview:

The Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid - the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Delegates will learn the skills and knowledge to provide emergency first aid treatment to casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Who Should Attend:

Any person(s) who as part of their working duties work with either the public or on a closed site. There is a legal duty of care for employers to supply sufficient first aiders in case of emergencies

Course Contents:

- Responsibilities and reporting
- Resuscitation and AED awareness
- Burns
- Assessment of the situation
- Anatomy
- Choking
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Minor injuries
- Epilepsy
- Basic hygiene in First Aid
- Bleeding control
- Shock

Assessments:

Classroom based theory and practical sessions with scenario-based activities. Final- end assessment to ensure theoretical understanding and practical demonstration
has been achieved

Certification:

An in-house accredited certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certificate will be valid for 3 years
