Course Overview
Course Dates

Entry Requirements:

- Must have completed the CSCS Health, Safety & Environmental Test for Managers and Professionals within the past two years.
- Good understanding of the written and spoken English language
- Should have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British standard

Course Contents:

- Observe regulations and Codes of Practice
- Follow safe symptoms of work including method statements
- Take personal responsibility
- Describe different types of cranes and associated terminology
- Understand crane documentation
- Understand crane stability, duty charts and safety devices
-Appreciate tower cranes
- Observe British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes Guidlines sections 1,2, 3 and 4
- Recognise the role of appointed persons
- Plan a lift

Assessment/Certification:

In order to achieve the CPCS 'Red' Trained Operators card, delegates must complete four days learning through a mix of teaching and practical exercises including one day of assessments and CPCS technical tests.
