Course Overview

This course will give you training and testing in operating and maintaining excavators, either above or below 10 tonnes through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction.

Course Structure

• Operate the excavator 360° tracked safely and productively

• Fit and operate ancillary equipment
• Site the machine safely and efficiently

• Carry out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures
• Understand the capabilities, purposes and limitations of each machine

• Follow all necessary safety precautions
• Interpret the information provided by level pegs and profiles

• Be aware of the necessary routine adjustments and service procedures and carry them out
• Work to levels with the aid of laser equipment

Assessment and Exams

You will be assessed through theory and practical tests. On successful completion of the course, you will receive your 2-year CPCS Red Trained Operator Card – both theory and practical.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
