Learning Outcomes
- Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator.
- Name & explain the purpose of principal components, controls & terminology.
- Conform with manufacturer requirements and relevant regulations/legislation.
- Undertake all pre-use checks.
- Operate the machine safely and efficiently.
- Lift a variety of loads and rotate them at various radiuses.
- Maintain safe working situations and tidy working areas.
- Carry out shut down and securing procedures.
- Explain the procedures for transportation.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives (OPS) within the past 2 years.
