Cable Avoidance - CAT and Genny Training

Who Should Attend?

The CAT & Genny Operator Course (Essentials) is intended for those who operate, supervise or manage the use of Cable Avoidance Tools and Signal Generators in the workplace to avoid the dangers of underground services. There are no prerequisites for this course, although an understanding of underground services, utility plans and cable avoidance tools are an advantage.

• Theory of cable location
• Controls and display indications
• Calibrating, and pre-use tests
• Operation of power and radio modes
• Compatibility between C.A.T. and GENNY
• Operational techniques
• Use of accessories supplied
• Accuracy of results

Certification

Successful candidates will receive an in house certificate issued by the training provider that is valid for three years.
