Working at Heights

Who Should Attend:

Any employee who will be required to work at heights

Aims and Objectives:

By the end of the course learners will have a broad knowledge in the basic skills and techniques of working at heights to national standards. Learners will be made aware of best practice requirements and of their own responsibilities

Course Contents:

- Introduction to working at heights - current legislation, guidelines and ACOP
- Performance criteria, plan, organise and co-ordinate own work, adopting safe working practice
- Topics covered
      - Ladders and Steps
      - Mobile Towers
      - Fall Arrest/Restraint
      - Inspections and safe storage requirements
      - Identification of suitable anchor points, safe routes ans safety hazards

Half Day

Additional Information:

This course can be extended to a 1-2 day course by adding a practical element.
