SSSTS (CITB) - Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme - Online Classroom

This two-day course is designed for individuals who currently hold or are about to take on supervisory responsibilities. It equips supervisors with a solid understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental considerations, along with their legal duties in the
workplace. The course emphasises the importance of promoting a strong health and safety culture and supervising effectively.

Ideal for individuals working in construction or civil engineering at a supervisory level or those preparing to step into a supervisory role.

Course Objectives

This course ensures that all supervisors:
Understand their responsibilities and why their role is crucial
Recognise what is expected of them in a supervisory capacity
Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Identify key challenges within the construction industry
Understand the structure and application of health and safety law for supervisors
Recognise their role in managing and maintaining site safety
Conduct risk assessments and comprehend the importance of method statements
Deliver effective site inductions, toolbox talks, and method statement briefings
Monitor site activities efficiently and ensure compliance
Intervene promptly when unsafe practices are observed

Candidates will require:

A laptop/computer with camera, fast internet connection, speakers and microphone (tablets/smartphones are not suitable) 
A quiet room, free from distractions to complete the course in 
A form of photo ID

Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a CITB accreditedcertificate which is valid for five years
