Introduction:
Storage pallet racking should be properly maintained and in good working order. This half day course will provide delegates with the information on why racking needs to be inspected and the knowledge to carry out basic inspections. It references SEMA codes of practice and reviews current legislation that covers the requirements for maintenance and inspection.
Course Duration: Half day.
Who Should Attend:
Any person required to manage and /or inspect racking systems.
It is essential that all delegates attending the training day are suitably equipped with Personal Protective Equipment including Protective Footwear and High Visibility clothing as part of the course will include on site racking inspection.

- Legislative requirements
- Types of inspections
- Frequency of inspection and records
- Racking risk assessment and management of risk
- Hazards and risks associated with racking systems
- Defects and damage: What to look for and corrective actions
- Practical exercise
Certification and Assessment:
Delegates will be assessed on their input during the practical exercise. All successful delegates will receive a Certificate on completion of the course. Course certification lasts 3 years.
