› Advise on the main duties for H&S in the workplace
› Help your organisation manage contractors
› Work within a H&S management system, recognising what effective policy, organisation and arrangements look like
› Positively influence H&S culture and behaviour to improve organisation performance
› Do a general risk assessment in your workplace
› Recognise workplace changes that have significant health and safety impacts and ways to minimise them
› Develop basic safe systems of work and knowing when to use permit-to-work systems for special risks
› Take part in incident investigations
› Help your employer to check their management system effectiveness
Assessment and Implementation
Assessment is a two-step process:
› A question paper to assess your knoweldge (2 hours)
› A practical risk assessment to assess application
