The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Working Safely training course is intended for people at any level in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of health and safety. IOSH Working safely has now been recognised within the construction industry also. Completing working safely, along with passing the CITB Health, safety and environment operative test means delegates can apply for their CSCS green labourer card. This course is widely recognised, and offers everyone an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’. It shows what they need to know – and are perhaps reluctant to learn about – in a refreshingly informal way. Our trainers use their extensive knowledge and practical experience to deliver an interactive enjoyable learning experience for all delegates.
Who is it for?
The IOSH Working safely course is aimed at people at any level. Working safely isn’t supposed to turn delegates into safety experts. It focuses on why health and safety is important, and how individuals can make a real difference to the wellbeing of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.
- Introducing “Working safely"
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance
- Protecting our environment
IOSH Working Safely is assessed by a multiple choice exam and a series of short hazard spotting exercises.
This course will be delivered over one day. (The course can be delivered in-house or individuals can attend open courses in Manchester and Wimborne).
