IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing - Online Classroom

Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing is for managers and supervisors working in any sector, and for any organisation.

It’s designed to provide tools and techniques to improve health and wellbeing across an organisation. Candidate's won’t suddenly become health and wellbeing experts – but it will help them to become line managers who truly care about the health and wellbeing of an organisation’s most important asset – its people.

Course Objectives
To provide an understanding of:
- The importance of health management and the key health needs of the organisation
- Types of health hazards and how to assess, control and monitor the associated risks
- Types of personal or health conditions that affect fitness for work and how to assess and manage their impact
- What wellbeing is, how it adds value to the organisation and how to promote healthy lifestyles and positive mental health to enable a healthy workplace culture.

Course structure
The course covers 4 Modules over 1 Day. The Guided learning hours are six hours 15 minutes, which is 5hrs 45 minutes of learning, and 30 minutes for the end of day assessment. 
There is also a risk assessment project to complete which must be submitted within 2 weeks of the course completing. 

Course Assessments
Assessment 1:
Completed at the end of the course, and comprises of 20 Questions over 30 minutes. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer - the maximum mark for the complete assessment is 41; the minimum pass mark is 25.

Assessment 2: 
The health risk assessment project is broken down into a number of stages, which should flow from start to finish, telling a complete story of the three tasks being performed, associated health hazards, risks and their required controls (Part A) along with an action plan of how the health risks will be monitored (Part B).

Candidates will require:
- A laptop/computer with camera, fast internet connection, speakers and microphone (tablets/smartphones are not suitable) 
- A quiet room, free from distractions to complete the course in 
- A form of photo ID

Certification:
Upon successful completion, an IOSH certificate will be issued.
