IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers - Online Classroom

The IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers is a two-day strategic and operational environmental course for managers and supervisors to discover the implications of environmental sustainability.

The course will give delegates an understanding of the strategic opportunities and constraints that environmental sustainability presents organisations. They will cover:

• The importance of resource efficiency
• Impact of environmental sustainability across the value chain
• Impacts of pollution, prevention, control and environmental legislation in organisations
• How employees support environmental sustainability

Course Content

The IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers course is an accredited green credential, that develops environmentally conscious leaders. You will learn to:

• Apply green techniques that increase performance, efficiency, and impact, while reducing risk, waste and consumption
• Understand the strategic and operational implications environmental sustainability has on a business and its team
• Get full visibility of legislation compliance

The course will empower every delegate to drive rapid change via its tools and resources, all designed to support their responsibility to create measurable sustainability impact. 

They will learn how to manage ISO 14001, engaging stakeholders and staff while embedding environmental management into your business processes and developing an environmentally conscious culture and organisation.

Assessment

The IEMA ESSM has a 20-question, multiple-choice exam completed at the course’s end.

You will have 30 minutes to complete the assessment, which is plenty of time to consider your answers.

Success in the IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills qualification requires you to pass the examination with a minimum of 70 percent correct answers.

If you fail the exam, you have another attempt free of charge.
