There is a wide range of IOSH courses, but the most popular course is IOSH Managing Safely. This training course most commonly runs in a 4 day format and is aimed at managers in a wide range of industries and sectors who have day to day health and safety responsibilities.
Other IOSH courses include:
IOSH Directing Safely also known as Safety for Senior Executives. This course usually runs over a single day and is the second most popular of the IOSH courses. This IOSH course is targeted at company directors and senior executives and is designed to provide them with a sound understanding of their legal and moral responsibilities.
IOSH Working Safely is a short course typically run over a single day and is designed to provide workers with a sound grounding in the essentials of health and safety in the workplace.
IOSH Managing Safely Re-certification. This is 1 day course, which aims to bring current IOSH Managing Safely certificated delegates up to speed with current legislation and health and safety knowledge and also to refresh their memories with respect to the IOSH Managing Safely course.
IOSH Working Safely for Middle Management. This is a 2 day course and concentrates on a number of practical elements where delegates will have the opportunity to write their own risk assessments, including COSHH assessments.
IOSH Managing Safely in Facilities Management. This course is a 4 day course of particular interest to those who have responsibility for managing health and safety risks in facilities management.
Construction Sector IOSH courses:
IOSH Managing Safely in Construction. This is 4 day course which aims to develop awareness and competence of managers to manage safely within the construction sector. This course is also one of the more popular IOSH courses.
IOSH Managing Safely Construction Refresher. This is a 1 day course designed to refresh delegates’ memories with respect to important aspects of the material from the IOSH Managing Safely in Construction course and to bring them up to speed with relevant changes in legislation.
IOSH Managing Client / Contractor Relationship (CDM). This is a 3 day course aimed at Construction Project Managers and Construction Supervisors who manage contractors and need to develop their understanding and awareness of the current legislative requirements, including the Construction Design Management Regulations.
Environmental IOSH Courses:
IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities. This is 4 day course and will provide delegates with an understanding of environmental requirements relating to the workplace, including the key features of ISO14001 and EMAS.
IOSH Working with Environmental Responsibilities. This is a 1 day course and covers the essentials of environmental management. The course aims to ensure delegates understand key legal requirements related to the environmental impacts in their workplace.
