NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction

Who Should Attend:

Individuals working in the Construction industry that have health and safety responsibilities as part of their role, and who require a nationally recognised qualification to demonstrate competence.

Course Objectives:

To provide a construction-specific vocational qualification in health and safety, examined to NVQ level 3.

Course Contents:

Week 1: (NCC1)

Element 1 - Construction management
Element 2 - Construction site - hazards and risk control
Element 3 - Vehicles and plant movement - hazards and risk control
Element 4 - Musculo - skeletal hazards and risk control
Element 5 - Work equipment hazards and risk control
Element 6 - Electrical safety

Week 2: (NCC1)

Element 7 - Fire Safety
Element 8 - Chemical & Biological health hazards and control
Element 9 - Physical and psychological health - hazards and control
Element 10 - Working at height - hazards and risk control
Element 11 - Excavation work and confined spaces - hazards and control
Element 12 - Demolition - hazards and control

Course Outcome:

There will be a 2 hour exam paper for NCC1 and a construction work based practical report for NCC2 to complete. IF NGC1 is required, a further 2 hour exam will be required.

Pre-requisites:

Delegates must have completed NGC1 within the past 5 years in order to attend this Conversion course.
