This course is designed for delegates working in smaller workplaces, where there are fewer first aid risks or hazards.

One day.

Who should attend
Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.

Aims
At the end of the course delegates will be able to demonstrate the essential knowledge and skill needed to deal with life threatening emergencies in the workplace.

Content
• Health and safety (first aid) regulations
• Managing an incident
• The priorities of first aid
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Resuscitation
• Shock
• Choking
• Seizures
• Bleeding
• Common workplace injuries.

Assessment
Continuous assessment by trainer.
Certification On successful completion of the course delegates will be issued with a First Aid certificate which is valid for three years.
