Course Overview

This single unit can be carried out at Stoneleigh Park or we can come to you as long as you have a
suitable location, that is a real road with unpredictable traffic & pedestrians.

Course Content

• Produce plan of intended site showing position of signs, guarding & traffic signals. Plan must
include all relevant distances, sizes and dimensions required.
• Produce list of equipment for intended site
• Demonstrate sequence of setting out the advance signing, safety zones & pedestrian walkways
• Demonstrate positioning, testing, adjusting, commissioning & decommissioning of temporary
traffic signals
• Answer a range of questions to demonstrate knowledge of subject
• Conduct activities safely wearing appropriate safety wear
• Provide sufficient evidence of knowledge by way of oral or written questions

The City & Guilds NRSWA (6157-01) Course will cover the following topics: -
• 002 - Signing, lighting & guarding

Certificates

Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessment, the results will be
submitted to the awarding body and certification will be issued to the delegate in due course.

Pre-Requisites

Some level of experience within the construction / civil engineering sectors is a pre-requisite
for acceptance on to this roads and street works course. If you are unsure whether your
current level of experience is suitable for entrance on to this course please call us and we
