NRSWA - New Roads & Street Works Training - Operative Units 1-7 & 9 (LA, O1-O6, & O8) - Including Hot Lay

Who Should Attend?

The New Roads & Street Works training programme is designed for Operatives who carry out excavation, backfill and reinstatement of various materials in the Highway.

Aim

This training course provides delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform operative duties to the standards prescribed in-line with the current New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Act, in order to safeguard themselves and others.

Is this course CITB Grant claimable?

You can claim up to £120 as long as you provide us with your CITB Levy number either at the time of booking or on the day of the course.

Training Course Content

001 Location of underground apparatus.
002 Signing, lighting and guarding.
003 Excavation in the highway.
004 Reinstatement of compaction and backfill materials.
005 Reinstatement of sub-base and road base non-bituminous materials.
006 Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials.
007 Reinstatement of hot-lay bituminous materials.
009 Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.


By the end of the training course delegates will be able to:

- Summarise the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works (NRSW) Act.
- Select appropriate personal protective and safety equipment as required to carry out street works activities.
