Working at Height Training Courses

Working at Height Training:  Each and every year the HSE statistics show that falls from height account for a high number of fatal accidents at work and thousands of major injuries. Fatalities resulting from Working at Height remain the single biggest cause of workplace deaths. The Work At Height Regulations 2005, as amended by the Work at Height (Amendment) Regulations 2007 apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury.

Most Working at Height Training Courses are single day courses or half day courses and although course content will vary, these courses typically cover topics such as:

• The legal responsibilities imposed by the Work at Height Regulations
• Risk assessments and control measures to reduce risks and fall prevention
• Inspection of scaffolding
• Ladder safety and stepladders
• Use of harnesses/lanyards and fall arrest systems
• Mobile Tower scaffolds
• Use of MEWP’s (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
