This course is aimed at first line managers, foreman, gangers, team leaders, supervisors and those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities.
It provides an introduction to health, and safety, welfare and environmental issues, and legal responsibilities relevant to their work. The course gives attendees valuable assistance in safely managing a construction site.
The course content includes the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and relevant regulations as well as specific site issues which include working at height and giving tool box talks.
The course provides the ideal introduction for those supervisors who have had little previous health and safety training. It can also be used as a precursor to attending the 5 day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course.
CertificationUpon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a CITB accredited certificate which is valid for five years. Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
