Training Method: Course delivered online via Zoom. Candidates require a fast internet connection, laptop/tablet and quiet room to complete the course. 
 

Who Should Attend:

The SMSTS Refresher is a 2-day training course designed for candidates who have already successfully completed the SMSTS Course and wish to renew their certification.

Course Contents:

The course provides updates on how current legislation impacts the construction industry and developments in health and safety best practice on a construction site. The SMSTS-R training also identifies and develops the managerial skills necessary to deliver compliance with current health and safety legislation with a focus upon the legal duties and responsibilities of managers.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

- Implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your daily work
- Implement new guidance and industry best practice
- State your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a SMSTS Refresher certificate awarded by CITB for an additional 5 years.

Entry Requirements:

Delegates will be required to provide proof that their current SMSTS certification is in date in order to attend the Refresher Training.

Note: The CITB are allowing candidates who hold certificates that expired during the Coronavirus period to renew their certificate at a later time. 

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
