This course provides an Introduction to Environmental awareness on construction sites. You will cover a number of topics designed to boost your environment awareness and help you to better manage environmental resources.


Aims and Objectives

- Demonstrates a commitment to the environment
- Meets the basic environmental knowledge required by the sub-contract chain as required by major contractors
- Covers the environmental aspects of the new touch screen Health, Safety and Environmental test

Course Content

You’ll understand how each of the following issues affects work on construction sites:

- Best practice techniques and legal compliance
- Environmental impacts and the issues associated with construction activities
- The environment and why it matters
- Environmental management systems
- Waste management
- Pollution prevention and water management
- How to be a good neighbor: statutory nuisance, communication, archaeology and heritage
- Energy and resources
- Being a responsible contractor

Suitable For: Construction personnel such Site Managers, Supervisors and Operatives
 
Exam: Multiple Exam Paper
 
Certification: CITB Accredited Certificate awarded on successful completion of the course.
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
