Who Should Attend the NEBOSH Construction Certificate Course?

The NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Safety and Health has been designed to provide individuals making day-to-day decisions in construction work with the knowledge they need to ensure that the health and safety implications of their decisions are properly taken into account.

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate covers all of the main principles relating to health and safety in construction, including how to identify and control common construction hazards. It is suitable for:
- Managers, supervisors and CDM co-ordinators within the construction industry.
- Those who manage contractors.
- Those who work in industries where temporary workplaces are a feature, e.g. utilities, broadcasting, etc.

Unit NCC2: Workplace-Based Practical Assessment


Course Duration

The NEBOSH General Certificate course is 15 days plus exams

Certification

Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A full NEBOSH National General Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.

The NEBOSH Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in
meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also
accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate
membership.
