Course description: This course is essentially a foundation in managing people however it is also useful for any managers who have never had development in this role.
The programme provides an understanding of the role of a manager; how to manage others including delegation; and an appreciation of the key interpersonal skills involved in dealing with teams and individuals.
With other managers we will explore what managerial effectiveness is and what it means – achieving goals and the core management skills required as a new manager.
Participants will develop a clear understanding of the difference in individuals they manage, how to build relationships with their team and how to give and receive feedback effectively.
This course will concentrate on the key skills of communicating and influencing, while also helping to look forward, through planning and delegation for results.
