ISO 22846 - Rope Access Supervisor

Aims and Suitability:

This training course is delivered against the ISO 22846 framework. Delegates on this course will already have a rope access qualification and it will cover a full range of technical and complex access and rigging techniques, including fall protection methods, advanced rescue techniques, lead climbing and pulley systems.

Course Contents:

- Health and safety for rope access.
- Risk Assessments.
- Inspection, selection and usage of PPE.
- Complex rigging techniques.
- Supervise rigging of ropes.
- Manage all equipment on site.
- Knots, anchoring and rigging.
- Advance rescue techniques.
- Implement procedures, method statements and work plans.

Delivery and Assessment:

Classroom based theory and practical climbing and rescue sessions with scenario-based activities. Written and practical assessment to ensure theoretical and practical understanding has been achieved.

Course Requirements:

Delegates must be over 18 yrs, physically fit, able to work at height with previous climbing experience and a minimum of 1000 hrs. Delegates will be required to complete a medical declaration.

Equipment Requirements:

Delegates will need to bring suitable climbing/rope access PPE and clothing for seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE may be provided upon request.
