Who Should Attend:

Any person(s) who as part of their working duties are involved in mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP’s)

Course Aims:

The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary information in the safe use of mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP’s)

Course Objectives:

At the end of the instruction the candidates will be able to:

- Have an understanding of the statutory requirements
- Identify types of MEWP’s
- Understand safe working procedures
- Inspect MEWP’s
- Safely operate a MEWP

Course Contents:

- Health & Safety legislation and regulations
- Limitations & use of mobile elevated work platforms
- Identifying controls, safety devices and warning alarms
- Daily and routine inspection and servicing requirements
- Setting up in preparation for work
- Ground and site conditions
- Safe operating techniques
- Emergency lowering procedures
- Manufacturers instruction manuals
- The use of fall arrest equipment
- Practical operating test
- Multiple choice test paper

Certification:

Mobile Elevated Work Platforms IPAF Certificate.
