First Aid at Work - 3 Day Full Qualification Course

Our course is aimed at any member of staff who is required to become a qualified ‘First Aider’ in their workplace, such as civic buildings, offices, schools or leisure centres.

Course Content

- Recognition of illness/injury
- Record keeping
- Personal hygiene and infection control
- Unconsciousness
- Resuscitation
- Management of choking casualty
- Bleeding and shock
- Major and minor illnesses
- Fractures
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning and eye injuries

Outcome

At the end of the course participants will undertake a theory assessment and be observed carrying out a number of practical skills by their course trainer. They will be required to demonstrate proficiency in controlling bleeding, resuscitation and unconsciousness.

Participants will develop the skills necessary to become a competent and confident First Aider in their work place and will be awarded a ‘First Aid at Work’ certificate, valid for 3 years.
