Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Dependent on your company’s size and First Aid assessment, you may require additional Emergency First Aiders to work alongside your current First Aiders or, if your risk is deemed low, having EFAW trained staff may be more suitable.

Each work place is different and we will be pleased to provide assistance in determining the most appropriate solution for you and your business.

Outcomes: 
- Certificate issued to 16 years and older. 
- In house certificates issued to 14 -15 year olds.

Assessment: 
- Continuous assessment.

Course Content: 
- Responsibilities and reporting. 
- Assessment of situation. 
- Basic First Aid hygiene. 
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty. 
- Resuscitation. 
- Heart attacks. 
- Bleeding control. 
- Minor injuries. 
- Angina. 
- Chocking. 
- Shock. 
- Seizures.
