This course will familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness and assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness.
Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock.
All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Who is it for?
It is appropriate for nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone requiring a comprehensive one day first aid course. This course can be adapted to suit particular work groups and is ideal for lower risk businesses, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
Students will be continually assessed throughout the course by the tutor.
All successful students will be issued with:
Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate valid for 3 years
A wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
