All solar photovoltaic systems which are intending to operate under the FIT schemes
administered under the rules set by MCS will be subject to regular inspection and where
The course will provide also delegates with further invaluable advice on the various options
open to installers, under the MCS schemes.
City and Guilds 2399-12 is also suitable to those that are specifically working in the care
and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems.
On completion of the City and Guilds 2399-12 course, delegates will understand:
- Inspection scheduling
- Specific requirements for routine inspection of solar photovoltaic systems
- Specific solar photovoltaic systems servicing
- Specific solar photovoltaic system maintenance
- Fault diagnose specific to solar photovoltaic systems
- Fault rectification in solar photovoltaic systems
The City & Guilds 2399-12 qualification is fully recognised by the MCS accreditation
scheme providers. .
Please note that it is currently a pre requisite that to attend any City and Guilds 2399-12
course module, the delegate must hold an appropriate NVQ certificate
The pre entry requirements for attending this course, are that delegates must hold a current
17th edition certificate (either full or update) plus some evidence will be required showing
that the delegate also understands how to carry out the process of initial verification as
specified in BS7671:2008
City and Guilds 2399-12 is considered by many in the industry as the “must have”
qualification, and is particularly suitable for those who are already enrolled with a competent
person’s scheme provider.
