City and Guilds 2393-10 is regarded as a benchmark qualification for all electricians or for those who are involved in the domestic electrical installation industry. Widely recognised by the 5 main competent person’s scheme providers as the “must have” qualification, City and Guilds 2393-10 covers the Building Regulations requirements that apply specifically to domestic electrical work. In particular, the course looks in depth at specific aspects of the electrical installation work carried out in a property, and the specific areas that are notifiable to local authority building control.
This also includes the "parts" of the Building Regulations, the implementation, procedures that are required to be followed by electricians when installing within a domestic dwelling.
Please note: This course is only applicable to the Building Regulations in England and Wales.
Prequisites
Whilst the course has no formal entry requirements, we do recommend that delegates who wish to attend this course should consider undertaking a 17th edition qualification.

On completion of the course, participants will understand:
- Scope, purpose and structure of the Building Regulations - Types of notifiable and non notifiable items - Building control and inspection - Building control enforcement - Compliance with Approved documents: A, B, E, F, L1, M & P Assessment
All candidates are assessed via 20 multiple choice questions – the “open book” examination is carried out as using the computer based City and Guilds e-volve system – all candidates are given their results at the end of the examination.
The training provider enjoys a 98% success rate in the City & Guilds 2393-10 examination. Additional Information
